Wheeler - operation (in house?)

Post by kernowhoop » Sat Jan 20, 2018 6:31 pm

"Wheeler needs an operation. We’ve had some bad news about him,” Holloway revealed after the 3-0 defeat at home to Middlesbrough.
“There’s a little bit of bone that’s chipped off and it’s causing terrible trouble in his joint.
We’ve got to open it up and take that out, which is terrible news for him and for us.”

Sounds grim. In these financially-challenged times, do they do that at Loftus Road, or, at the training ground?
It's simple. Score more goals than they do.

Ollie gets Wheeler into his office, watches a YouTube video of Delia Smith boning a leg of lamb, and then has a go himself
If drink isn't the answer, you were asked the wrong question

Flat above the kebab shop on Uxbridge Road will probably do it for him.

It's not as though IH has used the lad much is it? Or for that matter is interested in any kind of real width in the attack.
Question everything.

Wheeler's the bloke who gets the oranges for 1/2 time isn't he ?

I'd like his money for doing what he's done for us thus far.....
"Fing Poo Wah" ( your comments are as much interest to me as a dogs fart ).

Yep, a fringe player needs an operation and the manager makes a big song & dance about it, as if it's some kind of big deal and leaves the team utterly hamstrung.
Question everything.

Maybe the ankle injury explains why he's not been used much.

Quite possible and I'm prepared to accept that may indeed be the case. My point was more to do with Holloway latching onto any misfortune and milking it for more than it's worth. I'm in danger of repeating a previous post here but...during the course of a long Championship season a team is going to experience short and long term injuries, suspensions, transfers in, transfers out etc. We are not unique in that regard and this is where managers truly earn their corn.
Question everything.
