Expiring Contracts...

Post by SM » Wed Nov 01, 2017 7:44 pm

I don't know where I saw it, but apparently we have a large number of players with less than a year remaining on their current deals...

Anyone know who the players are? I'm presuming that Caulker is one, but unsure on the others. Robinson? Mackie?

The first team players with contracts expiring at the end of the season are: Nedum Onuoha, Jamie Mackie, Steven Caulker, Jack Robinson and James Perch.

JET's contract is also expiring but I think we agree that's no bad thing.

Also, the majority of U23s will have contracts expiring at the end of the season too, but that normal as most only get one year.

I'd like to keep Chief assuming it's in line with our budget and Robinson needs securing on a decent deal . Perch is quite handy as cover across a few spots.

He's not really been that injury prone. A dislocated knee is pretty unlucky.

All good thanks just lost patience with persistent sick notes.

Knicking a living off the club.

I know it will never happen but I'd like to see a clause in a player's contract that has a track record of getting injured that he takes a 50% reduction whilst on the treatment table.

Work out how much we've payed cousins per minute on the pitch since he's been at the club, doesn't bare thinking about.

Yeah my bad I thought he was a regular sick note but it seems not, maybe it's just the way he plays (looks injured)

Cousin's might argue the club were at fault. If you started to docking peoples money for injuries you wouldn't be getting 100% out of them on the pitch.

Utterly ridiculous - it's not their fault they're injured. Almost all pros want to play as much as possible - I should think the number of malingerers or faux injured is minute in the modern game. Try paying Cousins a bit of respect for fighting his way back into the first team, rather than stupidly dubbing him a parasite.

Looking at your final sentence, sir, it's where you didn't learn spelling and punctuation that doesn't bare (sic) thinking about!

At this rate Robinson is going to be getting an improved deal, rather than a paycut.

Parasite? Who called cousins a parasite! Are you drunk stainrod making things up again?

Taking the piss that my spell checker let me down, hang on stainrod let's see if it gets the next sentence right.

You are a twat..

Think that's right it looks right.

Step away from the keyboard fella, the abuse you’re dishing out (homophobic or otherwise) has no place on this forum.
If you had a million Shakespeares, could they write like a monkey?
