I read elsewhere Fernandes said the FFP fine would be appealed. Any eventual fine would not affect the football club and the shareholders had agreed to pay it. Is this correct?

Listened to him on Talksport and couldn't find anything he said to get angry about. Said the shareholders would deal with the FFP outcome. Came across well as usual.

If the board swallow the ffp fine (whatever the size) then that is great news.

To answer my own question above: "Fernandes, who was speaking about how the club will cope on BBC 5 Live, said: "We've made it very clear as shareholders. The club will go on, business will go on and the club will not be affected by this fine, whatever the fine is." http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/fo ... s-13844291

The board cannot put in money, seemingly even if it is not a debt on the club, to drive the club forward under FFP rules so why should they be allowed by the FL to pay the fine

Manchester City operate under different rules than the FL. Basically if you are a top premier league team rules do not apply

Have to say listening to him he does everything right currently, and actually for a while now. It has taken him time to learn and unfortunately he learned the hard way but at least he and the shareholders are not running away from what went wrong and the consequences we might face, I wonder how many people in their position would do the same. So thanks for that Uncle Tony and the other shareholders.

Tony Fernandes: 'I know I've made mistakes but I feel like QPR are finally getting there' http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/201 ... y-getting/ I apologise but it's from the Torygraph.

Have to say this raised a wee smile: “Yes, I admit it does pain me when I have to fire somebody. I’ve got a little better at it over the years. But I will tell you this: I have fantastic relationship with all the managers who have left – bar Mark Hughes, who I’ve never spoken to since.”
