Barclays Young Eagle of the Month award winner no less! I really liked him but his career tanked once Kenny Samson intoduced him to gambling... allegedly. I couldn't even tell you who he played for after he left us TBH but he had a lot of promise when was in the Hoops.
It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

Indeed for £275,000 in 1993. After Brizzle Rovers he went to Leyton Orient for 2 years before dropping into non-league.
Saturday 9th November 1968: QPR V Burnley in the First Division - I saw the Hoops for the first time and my obsession began!

Did a great job for us for a season and a half!

See also Andy Gray - two screamers v Man Utd and we flogged him back to Palace after about 10 games.

Andy Gray - I remember those screamers during the night game at LR

Never understood why he was let go so soon after making a favourable impression.

Not sure if I would count him in the original category of a successful top flight career before or since, but Carl Leaburn's spell at QPR is hard to remember. Four minutes at Reading in the silver and black away kit I think?
