Sunderland v Queens Park Rangers

Post by Andy_N19 » Sat Oct 14, 2017 2:32 pm

Half an hour in and we're still at parity.

I'd consider a point there to be a success today.

won't leave anyone happy that. Sunderland will know they were shit and Rangers will know they should have won.

It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

I'm just glad we didn't lose today.
After the farce against Fulham anything would have been welcomed.

Used to fear going to Sunderland the mighty big boys from the north east.

Wow how they've fallen, and we think we've got things to worry about.

BBC stats show shots as follows
Sunderland
Nine shots of which five were on target
QPR
17 shots, of which 12 were on target.
Away from home; 12 shots on target.
Sounds good. Also sounds as if Ollie was right about the need to take chances.
It's simple. Score more goals than they do.

Reduced to following the game, as usual, by the live text updates on the BBC. From the 'factual' minute by minute update, the stats as above, and the EFL championship BBC page with the occasional update from around the grounds it looks like we had the better of things. By contrast, the final match report on the BBC suggested Sunderland were better.
