Don't you just know

Post by the big IP » Wed Oct 11, 2017 5:20 am

That Sunderland and Bolton are going to do the double over us.

Then I will start to get worried for Holloway and where the team and season are heading.

I mean it's perfectly plausible, but why in particular?

I'm constantly worried tbf, we just need to back the team. Whilst i wouldn't have given Holloway the gig and i'd have probably sacked him at the end of last season. I think there is improvement in the team and i think it would be a terrible mistake to sack another manager in November.

I can understand the OP being nervous. We're all familiar with the QPR Benevolent Society surrendering three points to previously struggling sides and the QPR Lame Performance Sky syndrome. Frankly we need to lay these ghosts once and for all.

You have articulated almost exactly how I feel. It was this sort of benevolence that ultimately cost us the title in 76. Not to mention the Swindon double in the Premier league. They let in 100 goals that season. We were 9th.

They must be the only team to have garnered 40% of their top-flight points courtesy of one opponent.

That's right - think it may have been his first return to LR. Went into goal with a LOT of the match still to go, and played pretty well, as I recall. Not that we tested him much.

Not for those two games. The Macca game was after we were relegated from the PL.

I thought the default setting of a QPR fan had to be optimism.

If you aren't optimistic , the decades of reality would have finished you off.

We need to get an early goal to stifle the Roker Roar. Or perhaps the Stadium of Light Scream as I suppose it is these days.

I won't bother asking you for the lottery numbers this coming weekend. :D

Hopefully Bolton have had their token victory, and it will be back to reality on Saturday.

We are making lots of chances, and just not hitting the target. Sooner or later we will have 'one of those afternoons' where everything we hit goes in. It would be great if it was next Saturday.
