Onuoha misses Borough game

Post by dm » Fri Sep 15, 2017 11:38 am

He's out with a hamstring problem: https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/ol ... lesbrough/

Ollie doesn't mentioned Hill who I would have thought, under the circumstances, would at least be considered.

Probably too late to sign him on in time for Saturday

Chris Paul or Caulker? Even Hamailainen perhaps.
It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

Surely Furlong who's already played there this season?

I'd probably ask Caulker to step up, but i doubt he will.

Note: to those who criticise Onuoha.
Watch tomorrow why he is needed. His pace means Rangers can have a high line and have a pressing game.No pace and we have to change formation and ruin all the development of the last six weeks.
He is so so important.
Over to you Ollie -an unsolvable one maybe keep ball for 90 minutes?

Hamstring eh ? That's a big worry as he could be out for some time and we just don't have a replacement. It would appear Caulker has vanished from the scene and Clint surely isn't match fit. Has he actually signed for us ?

Probably for the best, he's 39 ffs. If either party don't fancy it, probably for good reason.

Agreed, i know he has made a couple of noticeable balls ups this year, but we're not counting the bail outs. We'll miss him, especially if he's out for a while.

Depending on how bad he's done his hamstring he could be out for awhile.
I did a grade 3 tear a couple of years ago and I had 6 weeks off.

Be interesting to see how the team gets on

Can we do an emergency loan? Lynch, Hall, Ned, Perch, Caulker out. The area we should have been strongest(in numbers anyway).

I would imagine it will be a back four of:

Bidwell Robinson Baptiste Furlong

It doesn't fill me with confidence either but that's what I can put together out of what we have unless he starts pissing about with 5 at the back wingbacks and all that shite, but I would hazard a guess that he'll go with a four.

Agreed, but that's quite a meteoric rise in responsibility for Robinson, firstly in terms of being a first team regular and secondly in terms of being a centre half. Don't get me wrong, he's done well there, but I think we all would've been pessimistic if we knew he would end up being a regular at centre half. Also, he's looked good for the short time he's played as the left sided player in a back three (surprisingly good in the air) but aside from the second half vs milwall he hasn't really been tested as one of two centre backs.

Everyone knew we were short there and we needed someone extra preseason (even after baptise signed).
