Just to clarify..

22yrs old - 500k & hasn't kicked a ball this season.

The player that never was.

Yes, he seemed OK. Still not the biggest waste of money by us, by any stretch...
Not anywhere close to Bosingwa, Joey Barton or Caulker!

Well we'll never know because he doesn't play, which is maybe all we need to know I guess.

Barton? Seriously?

Didn't we subside 75% of his year in France, while he was on £67k per week? I suppose that was money well spent though with that massive sell on we got for him!
Makes the 500k punt on Goss look like money down the back of a sofa ;D

Barton would be way way down on the list for me for money badly spent.

The fact Ollie doesn't rate Goss highly enough to even give hime a Micky mouse cup run out says it all.

Game of opinions I guess

Agree with you on Barton. I thought he was a standout player for us for many years (albeit on exorbitant wages).

I’ll keep my powder dry on Goss because he’s young and we know nothing about him. The scouting has been good recently and maybe he’ll mature into a decent first team player. If he does: another good investment even if he’s just a reasonably good player for a couple of years (rather than outstanding). If he doesn’t end up that way, well then I agree with you again but I don’t know how you know the outcome yet.

No I don't know the outcome my gripe was signing a player for 500k that had never played a professional football match.

My point if you read my last couple of posts is that we are not going to find out because for some reason Ollie doesn't rate him highly to give him even a place on the bench or a game in the cup etc etc

Either something we don't know or just doesn't fancy him.

I said when we said signed him that it was madness & got shot down for it, maybe there was some Method to my thought.

Don't sign anyone from Manure. You'd think we would have learnt our lesson by now
