Only four years ago... yet easy to forget that as a QPR team, this was a group of losers

Maybe Big Tony is learning from the past after all...

In good shape, yes, indeed. Trouble is, two are injury-prone, one is on an extended holiday at the end of his career and one is a bit chubby. Then, there's Tom Carroll.
It's simple. Score more goals than they do.

The only one who realistically could return is Austin,
the others are past it in more ways than one.

I think Tom Carroll had a good season for Swansea. A skillful, inventive player.

Who whilst at us gave the ball away more times than I care to remember.

To put it politely he was woeful.

Huh.... Bunch of losers? Gone over my head as well....

2014 was a decent year IMO.... Playoff winners and we were out of the drop zone on the 31st December...

We're currently skint and the big signing today is a yoof team player signing an extension....
2017/2018.... Keep Calm, no matter the season, we'll follow our team.....

I hope therefore that Lala realises how hard it is to sometimes judge a player as Carroll is now a premiership player of good quality.
I sense you would have written a young Messi off for being too small for the English game.....
Yes you and many other English football managers....

And those players named in the thread heading were more big earners where the club shedded a large amount of wages.

We are where we are - when you see club's in the championship flashing £15 million on a player you know madness has set in.

Hoping to see more progress from individuals and the team as a whole, without the need to ship out too many mainline first teamers.

I saw Swansea on MOTD quite a bit last season and young Tom looked quite impressive. Sometimes, if you looked carefully, on the periphery you'd see a certain Mr Fer trotting around hoping not to receive the ball.

Both over-rated in my opinion. In Tom Carroll's case, frankly it can be easier to spray the ball around when you play deep and aren't closed down so quickly. If ever he got into the final third I don't remember him being half as effective. Apart from one goal, I can't remember who against. I think that is pretty much the case at Swansea too.

In terms of that team I thought we had a few classy players like Dunne, Hill and Austin and the rest kind of slotted in. Given where we are now and the age/experience of our current crop I don't think we are doing too bad.
Come on you Sooopa ........
