JET Played today

Post by Rbee » Wed Jul 12, 2017 5:26 pm

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas featured for QPR and new signing Ibrahima Cisse was among Fulham’s scorers as the Whites won 4-2 in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday afternoon.

Sone Aluko, Stefan Johansen and youngster Matt O’Riley also netted for Fulham, while Dan Darbyshire and Osman Kakay scored for QPR, whose line-up included outcast Emmanuel-Thomas, who spent last season on loan at Gillingham, and new signing Chay Tilt.

Winger Tilt, 19, has signed a deal until January after leaving West Bromwich Albion and his first outing came in the game at Fulham’s Motspur Park training ground.

While Rangers fielded their development side, Fulham’s line-up included a number of first-team players.

Ryan Fredricks, Tim Ream, Ragnar Sigurdsson, Aluko and Floyd Ayité all started, as did Cisse and fellow recent signing Marcelo Djaló, while Tom Cairney, Stefan Johansen and Kevin McDonald came on as substitutes.

Fulham opened the scoring when Cisse’s 15th-minute free-kick struck the bar and rebounded into the net off keeper Seny Dieng,

Darbyshire equalised with a fine solo goal but Fulham were back in front by the interval courtesy of Aluko’s tidy finish.

O’Riley scored at the far post after being set up by Lasse Vigen Christensen four minutes into the second half, and Johansen’s free-kick made it 4-1 before Kakay netted a late goal for Rangers.

JET played a whole 14 minutes. He came on as a sub in the second half and was then subbed himself. No idea why.

He's finished at QPR.

Think he will sign for a league one club at some stage. Hopefully.

Such a waste of talent, but like many others he will never change.

Ah right so 'featured' wasn't exactly true then, hehe. Great goal from Darbyshire though but no doubt Everton were watching.

Probably the worst signing the club have made since relegation.

& yet he still has a better goals to games ratio than anyone else at the club 1 in 3.

Also cost us nothing, I would argue that we've made worse signings.

1 in 3 over a very small sample size and is constantly being bombed out of the club for being a bellend. We're still paying his wages, i'd love for him to come good this season, but do you see that happening?

He'll be shipped out again no doubt which is a shame because I kid you not the game he had against MK Dons is up there with best I've ever seen a player have in a blue and white shirt.

Common theme natural talent has attitude problems.

I agree it's an indictment of both the player and his man-management at the club if he leaves now. Incidentally, he apparently had quite a fruitful partnership with Smith (who got 7 goals in 14 games), when the latter was on loan to Brizzle. Just a thought!

Nope JET played the whole game APART from 14 minutes. Started the game, subbed off after 60 mins then came on again on 74 mins.

Yep, my apologies. I've just noticed that on the offish. It's bizarre to have a player subbed and come back on again. I read the match twitter posts wrongly.
