That's how the team lined up against Bromley this afternoon.

Ollie says he wants his team to be flexible capable of playing more than one system which is fine especially if you need a Plan B during a match but I think you need a favoured system which suits your playing squad especially at home.

Great highlights, nice run from Bowler but loving Freeman's take down from Furlong's long ball.

Goss played an excellent cross field pass that led to Sylla's goal. But before Lala has a go at me, yes it was Bromley we were playing

Hey Bromley are in what is essentially Division 5 so they are not that bad! The sort of team that would easily knock us out of the cup.

I noticed in the first half we had both Conor & Smith on at the same time. Unless DC was playing wing, it looked as though we set up with 2?

In the match report the way they list the players is 4231 but all systems are flexible.

Possibly but I think the important thing is that we get players alongside whoever is number nine, be it Smith, Sylla or A.N.Other. That was a failing at home last season and one of the reasons why we got stuck in ruts. Currrently I don't think we have the players or the managerial acumen to play 4231 so I would prefer a 442 but the all important thing for me is getting 4 or 5 players pushing on when we attack and eradicating the gap between Smith/Sylla and the attacking midfielders.

I really hope Gollie can get us playing that way.
Come on you Sooopa ........

This (bolded) has been annoying the hell out of me the last few seasons. We've consistently not been doing this on regular attacks, and it makes the attempts with our counter attacks pretty pointless.
