Re: Relegated Championship Players to sign
From memory, I can't remember when we've bought a player from a relegated club who has done well for us, Cousins and Fer come to mind.

Not sure we would get him as he signed in Jan but Bogle looked handy for Wigan

Re: Relegated Championship Players to sign
Nick Powell, Danny Graham, Will Grigg all had about 10 goals each this season.
Sam Gallagher also go over 10 goals, but I think he was a loan.
Jake Buxton as a squad player might be ok.
Tommie Hoban had a reasonable season too.
Otherwise there's really not much..

So did Idrissa Sylla, didn't help him get in the side.deadendjob wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2017 6:59 pmNick Powell, Danny Graham, Will Grigg all had about 10 goals each this season.

Re: Relegated Championship Players to sign
I agree. They all speak English fluently and I have wondered if the language barrier is part of the reason Olly's been taking digs at Sylla all season.Satch wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2017 7:53 pmSo did Idrissa Sylla, didn't help him get in the side.deadendjob wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2017 6:59 pmNick Powell, Danny Graham, Will Grigg all had about 10 goals each this season.

What made you wonder that, was it when Holloway complained that Sylla doesn't speak English? Shameful when you see it written out.deadendjob wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2017 8:16 pmI agree. I knew that was going to come across as an unintentionally bad. Source"I don't speak French so I'll maybe get my brother in to talk to Sylla," he said. "I need to get my point to him as quick as I can."
Appreciate it may have been a joke, but it did make me wonder if it wasn't a bit back handed.
It was also mentioned by Conor.
Source“His English isn’t great, but you can tell he is a character and a really good lad. He has fitted in really well with the boys, even with the language barrier.

Re: Relegated Championship Players to sign
Sorry, it didn't come across as bad from you (and i suspected it would from me). Just wanted to illustrate that i agreed and that i think his treatment is a worry, both in what it tells us about Holloway's character and the possibility of us losing a footballer who i believe has goals in him.deadendjob wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2017 9:15 pmI knew that was going to come across as an unintentionally bad. Players who don't speak English is hardly unchartered territory, so doesn't reflect well on the coaching staff. You'd think our famous Canadian assistant coach could help.

Didn't Rotherham have a striker we were keen on before Smith ? Ward ?? Can't see him listed, have they sold him already ???
