How do you explain Shodipo at Port Vale? he made a couple of appearances and got rave reviews from the fans then disappeared from the team. Based on his appearances and apparent commitment shown when he was playing for us you have to wonder at a relegated team who didn't play him.
It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

I would start by assuming he got injured.
Which would be backed up by the fact they sent him back to us before the season ended (March/April ?) with a long term injury. (It was on our Offish)

I'd missed that about Shodipo, worrying to see him struggling with a chronic injury.

I was really impressed with what i saw. I thought it was a mistake to send him out on loan, i also thought he was treated unkindly by Holloway.

It could be... and hopefully will be a big season for Shodipo. I really like the look of him.

How many players have we loaned out/transfered in recent decades that have turned out better?

My assumption is that he won't make it. Even at D2.
Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out.

Our youth team set us has been a mess and is only starting to look in better shape tbf. He was actually looking pretty good for us this season when he played. No guarantees, but let's actually give him a chance.

The difference between shodipo and our other youth products who failed to make it at D2 level is that Shodipo is actually quite good at football

..in the meantime a possible target has gone....

Defoe is joining B'mouth on a £ 130.000 a week, 3 years long contract...

Target for whom, not us?

Seemed inevitable he'd go back there. But if that's the deal B'mouth are mad.

Interested in Alex Bruce after Hull released him after his loan spell with Wigan. 32 years old.

We would surpass ourselves with that one. 32 year old looking for a final payday involved with 2 clubs, BOTH of whom got relegated !

Even his Dad is not interested in buying him anymore.
