Brilliant! :D

No mention how long his contract is yet but they won't go down now: him n Bondy will sort them out in the short term.

I didn't see that one coming!

Good appointment for them though. Gives them a great chance of surviving - for this season at least.

He is a lucky manager, not a particularly good one, but a very lucky manager. He'll probably keep them up now! The Birmingham team were flying under Rowett so the squad is good enough to stay in this league, but obviously they were not happy under Zola. I think therefore that they will now stay up and Harry will be hailed a saviour!

He's on talksport now:

Birmingham a proper club
Not about the money; bored a home
Keep them up we can talk about next season in the summer
Not been watching them so don't know the players; Steve Cotterall joining him
Villa away first game - two big clubs - Brucie!
Birmingham a team with big potential
Helped out a Derby last season and enjoyed it
I don't have a magic wand and can't turn them into Real Madrid after only winning 2/24 games

Nah it's not shameful, it's business. Good for both parties if they stay up.... will start costing them a LOT more money if they keep him for next season as he'll expect to sign a few players of course!

I hope they go down.

People who don't know a thing about football making poor decisions based on reputations. Harry is no messiah. He took a few games to get things moving when he took over at Rangers. It was four games before he got a win (Birmingham have 3 games left.) His opening stint saw only two wins in fourteen games. Mind you we had not won any of our thirteen games before Harry joined.

Tony Gale talking rubbish about Harry again on SSN - it's all about the hype. Gale talking up Harry however, for most of his time as QPR manager, Harry's experience didn't help, and he was poor overall 34% win rate.
Saturday 9th November 1968: QPR V Burnley in the First Division - I saw the Hoops for the first time and my obsession began!

Remember:
Growing old is inevitable.
Growing up is optional.

Shouldn't this be in the Football forum?
It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.
