The value of goals

Post by Damien » Mon Apr 17, 2017 7:17 pm

Just perusing the table before our next match and looked at Brentford's stats. They have scored 21 more goals than we have, but have conceded one more  I know where the blame for our current position lies.

I'm not looking forward to Saturday, could be embarising.

The players could redeem themselves with a performance but I'm not holding my breath.

Smartarse :roll I was emphasising how things could have been so much different this season - had we addressed a problem most have been saying we should have since Austin left.

It's also useful to equalise before the other team does.......

That is, unfortunately, easier said than done when you are on a tight budget. I don't think for a second the club is under the illusion that isn't needed. I'd like to know how many Sylla could have ended up with played week in week out.

There are better pubs in Brentford than those in Barcelona.

It's simple. Score more goals than they do.

We have had plenty of shots through the season, but too many fail to find the target - either hitting row Z or to use the BBC phraseology: "narrowly misses to the left (or right) of the post."
Saturday 9th November 1968: QPR V Burnley in the First Division - I saw the Hoops for the first time and my obsession began!

Remember:
Growing old is inevitable.
Growing up is optional.
