I'm not adverse to the concept of experimenting, but only once you are mathematically safe. But what is frustrating as the experiments make no sense.
I don't see that much can be learned from what he is trying. Hopefully, i'm missing something.
You are not missing anything.

You do not experiment on 50 points
If you do there has to be some logic behind it

But let's not forget he loves the club, is totally committed (something expected from any manager) and if cut bleeds blue and white.
He knows it can't continue into the first 20 games of next season or he'll get his p45, so let's pray there is logic in his head as to what he is doing & roll with it till Aug-Xmas next season.

Patrasso and Ravel not good enough?

Perhaps Sylla deserves to start more games?

Ned is still better than the alternatives and we need better CBs next season?

Goss still has a lot to learn and will be a squad player next season?

Indeed. All today's experimentation showed is that against a workaday team like Wednesday we were incapable of creating anything. Their goalie had nothing to do apart from (very easily), plucking crosses out of the air. We only scored because everyone stood still awaiting a whistle that never came. Even the "pressure" we exerted in the second half seemed desultory and half hearted. A truly terrible display.

Apparently Zola has just quit Birmingham , so , if it's ok with Ray , we could get him for the last 3 games of the season and then look again for someone to start the new campaign in August.
9% win ratio with the blues, 2 wins from 22.

Ray would have a cardiac if zola took over.

In that case... Holloway out!! :D
very funny carrotstick, Hitler loved carrots as well by the way.
And you're all right, we are a shit club even in this league and a shit manager with shit players is all we can expect, right? In a nutshell that seems to be the message.

Fucks sake.

Onuoha not being in the side isn't quite the miracle fix some expected.
If Ned had been playing we would have lost by 8 or 9 goals.

Seriously, I'd rather have him in the side by far than Lynch who spent the afternoon largely hoofing it up aimlessly, gave away a stupid foul leading to their 2nd and nearly gave another away at the end.

On the plus side Freeman was good and Luongo was a different class - best game I've seen from him.
If drink isn't the answer, you were asked the wrong question

Think your getting the word small & shit confused.

We are a small club with a small ground with a small number of quality players with a small history, playing shit.

New age defenders aren't big lumps anymore, the closest we have to a ball playing CB is Hall.

You need to try & play out from the back & we are miles off being able to do that with the current personnel.

so basically going down this season would. e just fine because hey, we are QPR and have a clown as manager?
Who would u appoint then Ray?
Now? Well, depending on if he'd want to come my first choice would be Roger Schmidt, ex-manager of Leverkusen and RB Salzburg.
Ray, more realistic would be as I've mentioned a few times today get the Lincoln management team of Danny Cowley and his
brother in, give them 3 years to get us up.
I'm not sure Holloway has any kind of plan, he changed the formation 2-3 times today, next season ain't gonna be any different it seems.

I was asked formy first choice, not sure how realistic it was, but there must be a realistic alternative somewhere who can make us play better than the Gashead version of Oleg Popov does.

Non league to the championship, don't get me wrong they've done superb but they are a league club based on budget & fan base, the cup run has to be admired but to pluck them out of there bubble and drop them into the qpr hotseat would be the quickest way to ruin a manager, we are no job for a non league duo that have had a fairytale season believe me there would be no happy ever after if they came to qpr.

You can't polish a turd and to be honest we're starting to smell a bit.

I thought it was all JFH but Ollie is struggling, not sure who would change our fortunes at present.

Maybe it's a long term job and JFH should have been given more time?

Isn't changing the formation during a game the sign of a good manager, especially if the current system isn't working?

3 years ?

Dream on. You have people on this MB who start getting twitchy if all the ducks aren't in a row after half a dozen games.

I'm not knocking the concept, but I can't see our fan base buying into it in a million years.
Are headphones getting bigger, or are idiots getting smaller ?
