This is yet another p!ss-poor performance and cranks the pressure up on Holloway.
Not good enough by a long way!!!!!
No pressure on Ollie unless this form continues next season.
I would be more than happy with us bringing in both Cowley brothers from Lincoln,
and giving them 2-3 seasons to fashion something credible.
They are Londoners, and this would be a definite step up, we need their intensity, focus and thought.

Better second half but still not creating anything. Strange how we have gone backwards again.
Agreed on Holloway. As for results it's the nature of the championship, two or three standout teams and then a lot of mediocrity below that with teams taking points off each other. This is the time of the season to try things out. It could go a few ways next season. Time will tell.

Yes, it was a flat back 4 with Furlong and Bidwell.

Yes, but both were still pretty narrow. Furlong was sacrificed for Washington which neutralised the threat from Wszołek. All in all, that was flipping appalling. Smith isn't mobile enough to play on his own up top and imo i think his ariel threat is a bit overstated, i think a lot of defenders who might be giving up 3 or 4 inches in height can make that up getting off the ground higher.

We had nothing in the middle of the park, at all, which wasn't remedied and Holloway's plan b now looks to revolve around chucking a load of forwards on. Ignoring the slight issue of creating something for them. I can't understand why Sylla isn't starting every game. He's clearly our most consistent threat, is versatile and may well have a lot more to offer if you accept Ferdinand's theory that it takes around 18 months to see the best from players brought in from leagues overseas.

I really can't understand the mindset at the moment, we seem to be putting out weak teams but also learning nothing new. Player's like Smith and Mackie are what they are. Let's play Goss, Morrison and Ingram and give chances to the likes of Eze, Grego-Cox and maybe even one of the young centre halfs. I also think letting Borysiuk go on loan was a mistake; we could really do with a proper defensive player screening the back 4, breaking up play and giving the likes of Luongo and Manning some cover to push on.
