Was he our attacking coach when he was with us last?

Seems like the impossible job. A bit like being the England manager.

Utterly ridiculous - he's been back 5 months, and Derby (though they're on a bit of a bad run) could still make the play-offs from 10th! Their stupidly 'entitled' club now deserves to plummet!

Football management has become an unmanageable joke!

De ja vu all round ... Results, performances and players attitude towards him.

No surprise at this news.

Interesting to see Clement doing well at Swansea after Derby unceremoniously dumped him.

He's a very good coach, but not a manager. His real strength would be as a number two somewhere where the number one has limited coaching abilities.

He'd be great as part of Olly's team for example.

I watched on TV Derby's defeat at Brighton. The players did not appear to be as committed as they should have been. If I had been a Derby fan who had travelled to that match, I should have been very p****d off.
It's simple. Score more goals than they do.

There's no real pressure on the manager though, despite what they come out with at times.

He'll get another decent pay off and another club will give him a job soon, not too many professions where failure (not that McLaren has failed at Derby particularly) doesn't really seem to be a problem for future employment.
