Agreed. There are plenty of players from the Scottish divisions who don't make it. Even if he signed and only scored every 3 matches he'd be the best goal scorer we've got.
Apart from Sylla.

1.7m doesn't get you a lot these days but it still feels like a punt.

Yeah, half the price of Connor and possibly a better goal scoring rate?
According to Wiki - Sylla's only got 4/14 so just under every 3 matches. I thought he had played more for some reason.

Either way, we need another striker pretty quick smart. If Sylla's injured, we're in serious trouble as Connor has got 2/34.

Soccerway has him down as having got 6 in 17. I also think there's more to come, he's looked sharp in recent weeks. Cautiously optimistic.

Scoring rates? That really doesn't tell you very much. Thierry Henry pre-Aresnal had 23 in 121 for example. Don't get too fixated on a few stats.

I wouldn't sell him unless he actively wants away to get first team action. He's not a starter but off the bench looking for a goal, i quite like him. I can't see us getting more than our money back either.

I can't say the players we're being linked with excite me or seem an improvement on the ones we have.

That would have had me pretty excited 8 years ago. Can't really see the point now. I'd rather give Washington a run in the same role.

Frazier Campbell still only 29. Think he'd improve us.

He's not been setting the world alight. He's also going to need to play up front with another striker, so if we are willing to switch to two up top, we should be doing with Washington, who's our player.

Signed a new contract with Rovers in July so they'll charge a bit for him. Definetly one I think we should be seriously looking at, but it seems as though he's happy in Brizzle. Maybe Olly's charming accent could sway him

I mentioned on here a couple of months ago that we should have gone for Cummings.
Rangers faithful should also note that he would become a classic Rangers no 10,
he is very much from the Stan Bowles school of football - a good thing for me!

Not heard of Cumming but that sort of fee and that sort of player sounds about right for us.

Look at the transfer fees for your reasonably decent to very good Championship forwards. All at least £8 million plus.

So the fee we paid for Sylla seems like a bargain.

A loan for Frazier Campbell is not the worst idea in the world.
He's the epitome of the good in the Championship, not good enough for the Premier League striker.

not so much a rumour as a player saying we made him an offer but he chose another club in stead.
