Hi Andy, well done on finding a picture of me. It's rather old though, as I shaved off the tash a few years ago.

As for Charlie, someone ask him to give me a ring ... I'll get him off in no time.

I would add... the lino was about 10 feet away, looking right at the incident and he didn't see anything wrong. So, not a case of having been missed, more they didn't see anything to worry about.
Linos (and referees) are often 10 feet away from things that seem obvious to a lot of us, yet apparently don't see them. I hope CA's not relying on that argument.

It's frustrating, but might actually be helpful.

I think the majority of us would love Charlie to be here next season, but realise that his wages are probably too much for us to sign him. We're safe, not going down.

So, now we have to play what we'll have next season. They'll either step up, or it will be a chance to see where we're lacking.

Having looked at it, I wasn't convinced it was deliberate by any means, but as said, it's us, they'll ban him.

If he did it deliberately then he deserves a 3 match ban. Of course the FL have no proof of intent when coming to their conclusion just a picture which any lawyer, if allowed, would be able to throw doubt on but of course they are judge, jury and executioners. However the wider picture is how the FL treat the referee. They took action under their rules because the referee did not see the incident. An incident not off the ball so what was the referee looking at if not the play. We will never know because the FL put protecting the referee above everything else.

Is anyone on here surprised by this verdict? They couldn't prove it - but who gives a sheiser? Remember the Derry sending off at old Trafford? Upheld by the scum-sucking suits at the FA. The funny thing about that one was in the end it cost Manure the title.

It's not a court of law, gents. How would you ever prove intent re a challenge in a game of football ?

I don't know whether he meant it or not, but he's no angel, and is certainly a wily enough old pro to have possibly left his foot in and made it look accidental.

Which is why it should have been left to the officials. It wasn't an off the ball incident, both the ref and lino were looking at it (from different angles). If they didn't see anything wrong, case closed.

I wouldn't have any problem with this IF they looked at all incidents in a game and took action when necessary.

This includes action taken on clear diving as well as missed "foul play" incidents - but of course they won't!

This time we'll get it right - just believe!

There was a pretty naughty elbow by Watford's Joan Pedro during last night's game - not seen that picked up, and that was from a televised game.
