I'm guessing that we do not have any lawyers on here with an insight into footballers contracts because I suspect that extending or amending is not as straightforward as some seem to think.

:?
I'm sure you're right. A contract is usually an agreement between two or more parties. If one doesn't sign it, the other/s can't enforce it.

Good luck to Hall. I suspect the economics of this are pretty straightforward - a 28 year old wanting a 3 year deal on £15k (or whatever) versus a 22 year old wanting half the money. We have to be turning over players regularly to keep the balance sheet tidy. And we now have the capability to sign players for nothing on low wages and turn them into diamonds.

Really surprised to see him end up at Boro with Warnock. Not his type of player at all IMO.

3 year contract as well.

He'll enjoy living up there.

I think he quite likes one or two ball players in his sides. Don't forget he rated Hoilett and Lee Tomlin at Cardiff, both players you wouldn't associate with his functional approach.
Come on you Sooopa ........

With Warnock signing up for next season I'd expect Boro to be in and around the playoffs so a good move for Hall on no doubt a lot more money than he is worth,
