I'll still be happy if we finish in the top half. Too many years under my belt to get carried away just yet.

If we didn't have the transfer embargo in January I think we'd have a chance of the play offs but as the odds are we will suffer a few injuries and suspensions to important players it's going to need a decent amount of luck.

Didn't expect this, but welcome surprise. Great to see Pav back on the wing

There’s a long way to go, but at the moment, feeling good.
If the finkle finger of fate does irony ... then we are nailed on. Sadly, on too many occasions, the said finger has been the middle one extended in our direction with a mocking hollow laugh.
At 2 pm on the afternoon of the last day of the season in Sheffield, I might relax and accept that the fates just might be with us.

Pawel, as much as Cameron, has been instrumental in our upsurge.Spencer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 3:26 pmIndeed...work in progress.Esox Lucius wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 1:23 pmI'll still be happy if we finish in the top half. Too many years under my belt to get carried away just yet.

Someone somewhere is even now working out what rules we have broken should the need arise to deduct point.White Duck wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 2:29 pmIf we didn't have the transfer embargo in January I think we'd have a chance of the play offs but as the odds are we will suffer a few injuries and suspensions to important players it's going to need a decent amount of luck.

Transfer embargo could work in our favour for starting XI consistency and team unity! (Yes, I know injuries could hurt us though!)White Duck wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 2:29 pmIf we didn't have the transfer embargo in January I think we'd have a chance of the play offs but as the odds are we will suffer a few injuries and suspensions to important players it's going to need a decent amount of luck.
For the record, I'd be more than happy with a top half finish! But I don't buy into the "not ready to go up" angle. I've got friends whose teams have got to the play-offs, not been sure if they are ready for promotion until the next season, and then never got anywhere near the play-offs again. I say take it while you can.
On that basis... was our crappy 14/15 season (and what's followed) worth it for our day at Wembley?! I'd say so... but only just!!

Top 10 would please me, but anywhere above last season and I'll be content.

Well, probably for the fans, yes. Given that the club is into a fourth season of trying of trying to extricate itself from the mess we got into as a result, overall I don't think it was.Caroline wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 6:31 pmFor the record, I'd be more than happy with a top half finish! That said, I'd agree with you that you can't pick and choose your moments, and I'm sure we'd be more sensible next time around.
