I hope SMC doesn't slot Cousins into the vacant right back slot. My preference would be Kakay and then Wzsolek, I guess.
Me to Cousins is not a right back by any stretch of the imagination.

Gutted for Furlong, really fancied him to make that RB slot his own.

Kakay sounds like he’s done fairly well in pre-season. Big chance for him now too?

We still have Hamalainen too if Lynch continues to look off the pace at the back. He just doesn't seem to have fulfilled his promise at QPR. :?

Isn’t he a left-back?

He’s an odd one Joel Lynch. Injury prone and horrendously inconsistent.

He is a bit of an all rounder, can play left or centre in defence or midfield. He is also a regular in the Finnish U21's if that is any guide :-)

He played there yesterday. Good going forward but got burned on more than one occasion defensively. That said, he was up against what appeared a decent left sided midfield player.

Neither is he a right wing-back, right winger or holding midfielder. He's a classic box to box midfielder imo.

Shame we let Perch and Mackie go - both could have covered there.
Mackie at right back would have been like a lamb to the slaughter.

Perch would have been a walking red card with pace running at him but Atleast he’s a defender.

I guess it’s now a priority position and we need to go out and secure a right back on loan or purchase one.
It's one of those QPR myths, i think he had a game and half there when he still had his legs and did ok, it's a different ask doing it for 3 months, with teams targeting you, especially with several year and injuries on the clock. I do recall he had a decent through on him though.

I wouldn't have fancied Perch there for 3 months but i think he'd have been worth keeping given how versatile he is, useful player to have on the bench, unless the club feel he isn't likely to be fit enough.
