A great start to The Ashes

Post by Rbee » Mon Aug 05, 2019 2:30 pm

How an International Cricket team can not bat out a day is beyond me.

Sixty for one at one point too.

Shambles indeed. No wayback either I reckon, with Smith and Lyon. Losing the WC would not have hurt as much as this Ashes drubbing is going to. New Captain needed first.

A bowler down for the entire test, & no ordinary bowler.

I know nothing about cricket but surely that had a massive impact on the outcome.

Agree that Anderson was a big miss and the outcome may have been different. Only two things beat England; Steve Smith and themselves.

Early days but a wake up call for England. I'm still quietly confident though.

England 56-8 in reply. Jesus, this test might not make 3 days.

67 All Out... aniwall
Few are agreeable in conversation, because each thinks more of what he intends to say than of what others are saying, and listens no more when he himself has a chance to speak.

That will go down in cricket history. Stokes has joined the pantheon of English cricket legends.

Sports personality of the year could well have just been decided & if we win the the ashes I reckon Stokes is a shoe-in for it. Quick get down the bookies.

Once again he delivers a superhuman performance the fella is on a different level.
