Post by Systemsguy » Mon May 13, 2019 9:00 am

sacked by Brighton......

Premier League safety and an FA Cup semi-final against the all mighty Citeh isn't enough anymore....

football management is harsh some days...

They were 21st in the Championship when he took over. Four and a half years on, and securing a third season in the PL and an FA Cup semi-final isn't good enough.

Short memories indeed. I hope they go down next year.

Evidence we aren't the most stupid when it comes to managerial sackings.

Brighton will go down next season and Hughton will be a great appointment somewhere else. Absolutely mad decision.

Remaining in the Premier League is all that matters so although harsh I understand Brighton's decision.

But he has kept them in the Premier League. If Pep Guardiola decided to leave Manchester City and take on Brighton they would still be one of the favourites for relegation.

But will he do it again next season, 3 wins in the last 23.

Put yourself in the owners place.

I think there will be at least three worse teams than BHAFC next season, but now we'll never know. I trust their owners on football matters as much as I trust ours, or the Venkys :D

We shall see. Chris is a great guy and won't be unemployed for long.

Wow, what a poor, short-sighted decision.
Nailed on bottom 3 next season me thinks.

Well out of order. They deserve to drop down through to non-league.

As always, as soon as we appoint a new manager other managers become available. Grrrr
