I can't understand why he was sacked for having a relationship with a female player in a previous job. People do meet at work and if there was no special treatment Im not sure what the issue is.

I'm pretty much at the stage where I only speak 'work' with women in the office and no avoid work social gatherings when drink flows. Any form of banter is extremely risky these days because of the search to be offended. In my recent experiences they are too eager to run to the boss and HR and complain and it's normally the ones who aren't particularly good at their jobs.

Clearly that fella in America has abused his power. But comments I've heard also range from women being offended by unwanted attention. Clearly the mating game generally is becoming very dangerous too.

Probably a dumb question but why are the FA having to answer questions in Parliament?
Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out.

Alas, it's becoming increasingly endemic within our society.
Question everything.

Apparently, his racialism, for which he was not sacked was speaking to a player of African origin in a West Indian accent. HANG THE BARSTARD!!

Absolutely no idea what point you guys are trying to make.

Important thing is that Aluko was completely vindicated in raising her serious concerns.
I noticed you didn't comment on Sampson's Ebola jibe to Eniola and her family.

Remember, what might seem 'banter' to you may well be deeply offensive to other people... Clive Lewis take note.

Are you really trying to buttress Sampson's already discredited comments by producing that link?

If she had family over from Nigeria at the peak of this crisis then it would be a prudent question to ask he family have had any potential exposure to the virus. If it was positioned in a crass or as a dig he was in the wrong. But not if it was a public health question and she got the arse over it. Also, the Kendal fake Caribbean accent, she stated he never realised how offended she was; well why the he'll didn't she tell him to stop, it's basic communications.

I'm not defending these guys but it's a shame these thing have got this far. In my work I have said the odd thing that people have taken offense by but you opoligise and don't go there again. People generally are very sensitive these days and I'm now get selective who I open up with. But on the slip side I've been set up many times by women who ask your opinions on things only for that to be used against you in future. I don't get involved in discussions in work anymore about topical subjects because there's always one looking to be offended and use it during office politics. I keep my job shut and let the shit shutters and sceamers crack on with it. In my last altercation I recruited a girl from Vietnam and from discussions she knew I'd been to Thailand. During an evening out we discussed the bargirl scene to the point that she was keen to read a book called Private Dancer which tells the story; from both sides, of how expats and bargirls view the scene. From that point she decided to tell peope that I though all Asian girls are prositutes! From a discussion to me being branded a sex tourist within a week!!

I have never gone running to my boss or HR complaining about people because I'd get laughed at and be told to man up. Complaining is not a privilege that I have in the modern world but there are many social groups that by default are always deemed right. Employment law is a great thing but it can get abused if someone is looking for compensation. I worked with a very tixic lady who got offended at every turn, and her husband already had one pay out from BT due to alleged bullying from his boss that wad paid off before going to tribunal. Its a very brave person who wants to be a people manager these days.

But hey ho, I voted for Brexit so clearly Im racist scum!!

It was and he was consequently discredited.

Considering he has selected black players (caveat - or players of colour whichever is the correct way to say this) in the past then I would suggest hes not racist. He just a errant hedge-born skainsmate.

But in matters of racism and sexism you are guilty unless you can prove innocence. But Ive only got another five years left to work and I'll get put out to stud!! But in the meantime I"ll exchange pleasantries which certain social groups and due to my personal exoeriences will enforce an effective apartheid in my head.
