Walter Becker RIP

Post by Rbee » Sun Sep 03, 2017 6:52 pm

Another huge chunk of my musical youth taken too early.

Love Steely Dan.

I know Rbee. I wish the media would stop reporting the deaths like this. It's heartbreaking.

RIP Walter.

The Dan were a marvellous band. I saw them a couple of times in the 70s and loved most of their albums particularly the 2nd and 3rd. D'you think a band of their calibre would be successful today ? Somehow, I doubt it.

Agree with rbee about Steely Dan writing iconic songs. Don't know whether its the same these days but the latest music really was a part of you in those days.

RIP Walter Becker

Sad news. Great band. Great songs. Nothing now compares with what they did. Kings -what a track that was.
