.....to be trialled in the FA Cup next season. I've read about it but not too sure how it works. Anyone ?

They review video footage to determine the correct action to be taken by the officials.

I read about it in a tabloid I found in the pub. It didn't go into any great detail. Presumably the ref calls for it after making an important or contentious decision. Surely it would only be on rare occasions or the flow of the game would be interrupted inordinately ?

I hope it doesn't go like run out reviews in cricket where umpires review everything.

It does run the risk of becoming like rugby where a try is rarely celebrated without a pause for confirmation. I think that they should follow a tennis style challenge route.

Give the managers 2 challenges per game, that they can use on any decision, if correct they keep 2, if incorrect they lose 1.

It would also stop diving immediately, who would want to walk in to their boss after a challenge had been wasted.
