Would be good news for any Blackburn fan suffering from insomnia.

Their fans blame it all on the Venkys (and obviously a lot of it is down to them) but the team played well enough in cup matches but have struggled in the league (so if they can do it don't, that has to be down to the manager?). Be interesting to see how they do if Sherwood gets the job? Especially given how it's going for him as DOF at Swindon.

One of the posters on their messageboard suggested they should get a manager in on loan rather than a permanent appointment as they don't last long.
Probably a few clubs like that these days.

Tony Mowbray has been appointed.

Seems a strange and very quick appointment. I would not be happy if I was a rovers supporter. However, I'd be surprised if he can keep them up.

Apparantly the Venkys weren't aware of relegation when they took over Blackburn, also i believe they're meat & poultry empire is worth over 1bn dollars, they sold the likes of Rhodes,Gustede,Hanley & Duffy for around 29m & haven't spent a penny replacing them.
I think it's safe to say Blackburn Rovers are not at the top of there prioritys.

Doesn't Mowbray's history suggest he is a "builder" rather than a "firefighter"?
I doubt I'd be happy if any owner we had chose to employ him as manager.
