Re: Superbowl
A very good chance IMO. Matt Ryan is on fire at the moment. I don't think there will be a lot in it.

Re: Superbowl
The Falcons have great offensive weapons in Ryan, Jones and Sanu but from what I have watched (and listened to the analysts on) is that they have an weaker and inexperienced secondary. If Brady & Ryan get equal time on the filed it will be close IMO. Brady gets the ball out fast and has some of the best targets but Ryan takes almost twice as long to get the ball away but is helped considerably by the offensive line giving him great protection. If the Pats defence gets across the line quickly he could be in trouble and have to throw a lot away. I wouldn't be surprised to see scoring drives from both sides to open the game. High(ish) scoring and a tight game. Mind you, I thought the Buckeyes would beat Clemson so what do I know?

Re: Superbowl
Falcons 34-24.
Atlanta OL give Ryan enough time for Sanu and Jones to get open.
Atlanta DL gets enough pressure on Brady to take away deep threat and ILB do just enough to cover RB'S and TE's.
Neither team runs ball well.
Low scoring first half. Lots of mistakes.
It's an aging Steve Davis vs a sober Hurricane Higgins.

Re: Superbowl
Good shout, he will need to play well, unless the Pats dig up another unsung hero. I'm thinking a Timmy Smith type performance and even then he lost out toEsox Lucius wrote:Julian Edelman this year?BiscuitRanger wrote:But I did pick the Broncos last year and alluded to the MVPEsox Lucius wrote:You were wrong the first time Biscuit![]()
Doug Williams.
I would have thought MVP will revert back to the QB this year unless Jones has a monster game.

Re: Superbowl
What a game. Perhaps one of the best ever. Hats off to the Pats and good call on Eldeman he had another great game. Can't take it away from Brady.
I hope he contemplates retirement now and protects his body. What more is there for him to achieve?
I feel a bit sorry for the Falcons, they played a great game. Not sure either team will be back next year.
Early picks for next year:
Cowboys-Champions
Raiders (as much as I hate them) to hopefully loss embarrassingly
Surprise teams
Cleveland
Jacksonville

Re: Superbowl
Cleveland wouldn't be a shock, it would be a sign of the impending Apocalypse
They haven't looked a thread since the days of Bernie Kosar.
I hope Brady carries on for another season or two as he still seems to have the passion... and it wouldn't be fair to the Gronk. I have a feeling the Falcons will go the way of the Panthers after the humiliation of the last quarter last night, which would be a real shame as they have young, potentially great players in their side. I'm struggling to pick an outsider for next season as no-one really stands out for me.
