My dad met him and got a signed snare drum. Said he was an obnoxious g1t

My wife still has a drumstick that he gave her in the Chelsea Cat in South Shields in the 60s.

I saw Baker in jazz clubs before he joined/formed Cream. Funnily enough, I didn't rate him as a jazz drummer but obviously he went from strength to strength as a galloping rock drummer.

My favourite drummer back in the 60s was Herr Lennie Hastings with the Alex Welsh band.
