I am lucky enough to be of the generation that saw him play; I agree, right at the top of the tree. RIP Gordon.

Our own Ron Springett was deputy to Gordon in the mid sixties although he was playing for Sheff Weds at the time. I imagine the save Gordon made from Pele will be shown on the news tonight.

Rest in Peace Gordon, another who should have been knighted.
Have enjoyed watching him and listening to him today, the Sky Sports Legends programme was particularly good hosted by Bob Wilson.
