Re: Mrs May

Andy Murray donated his winnings at Queen's to the Grenfell relief fund. Sadly he didn't win top prize. Fair play to him, he has made similar donations to charity in the past.

Re: As Pulcinella would say...

"That's the way to do it". http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40383690 Fair play to the chairman. Marvellous. I think I read some time ago that very long term ST holders would be paying £5.82 per game. What a bargain. I hope they survive in the Prem for a while as the fans deserve it. Perhaps we'l...

Boris Johnston

Those who lambasted Diane Abbott and Jeremy Corbyn for getting lost during interviews might well check out Boris on Radio 4's PM programme. Despite not being under pressure as the aforementioned were during the election campaign, the man come over as a gibbering idiot who hardly knew what day it was...

Re: Approaching soon...

Far, far too early for football. The bigger clubs are pushing for a winter break which if achieved will mean kicking off in July especially in seasons that have a World Cup or somesuch. They just won't leave the game alone. Never to early for football, And the winter break saga, not for me, footy i...

Re: Kensington & Chelsea council

The government should place K&C council into "special measures" as they do with schools that are incompetently run. That said the government itself is incompetantly run so I don't know what will happen. Perhaps Hammersmith should take over as it is with the emergency measures.

Re: Mrs May

She is indeed a shambles but looking at the alternatives sends shivers down my spine. I therefore hope she hangs on - a somewhat chastened figure but there you are.

Kensington & Chelsea council

Some astounding stories about these people, some too bizarre to be true ? The initial response was to give £10 ( yes, a tenner ), to those displaced by the fire. Also, because the council came in under budget last year they gave a £100 rebate on council tax, but only to the higher rate payers, the s...

Re: Mrs May

We need something akin to the slum clearances of the early post war years but with humane dwellings built instead of towers. I go past the South Acton estate on the picc line quite often and they seem to have replaced the horrible looking towers with low rise stuff which looks much better - at least...

Re: Mrs May

What did the local Labour MP have to say to the victims' families? I don't know. What did she say? I do know she believes she won the election for Labour for the first time in the constituency’s history because even Conservative voters were fed up with the way the council treats its poorer resident...

The Queen has visited the relief centre but still no Mrs May. The only May likely to visit is Brian May.

Good timing

Review of a new film in the Times. Dispossession: The Great Social Housing Swindle. It documents the state of social housing and the various fiddles that some councils and developers have been up to. A wonderful quote from Conservative Prime Minister Harold MacMillan " housing is not a matter of con...

Well done QPR. Hopefully local people will make donations. In fact, I'm sure they will.
