Re: Apparantly we are close to breaking FFP again

It's natural to think they're all against us really. However, I feel the manner in which we breached the rules contributes much towards it. We drove the proverbial coach and horses through the legislation rather than just falling foul of it. Like all on here I find the FFP rules grossly unfair but i...

Re: pre-Birmingham

I think we'll kick start our season again with a narrow win thus propelling us up a place or two.

Re: Three managerial suggestions

How many more points do you think we would have right now if pep or jose were incharge. It's a serious question I'd be interested in your answer to your own question. It crossed my mind a while back & I thought it wouldn't make a lot of difference we are what we are. But on second thoughts I think ...

Re: Apparantly we are close to breaking FFP again

A small crumb of comfort would be that if we are found guilty of a further FFP offence it would not be on the scale of the first one so any punishment would be far more modest. All this presupposes TF paying the fines and not, as some fear, winding the club up. All this said, I agree with all on her...

Re: Apparantly we are close to breaking FFP again

I'm puzzled that we still seem to be falling foul of FFP. It would be nice to see the figures but we obviously never will.

The “belief” in the club that we can shift Caulker out seems like believing in fairy tales.

Re: Shooting

The only other option, given that we seem unlikely to find a new striker in January, is Wheeler scoring from the wing. We used to have such players - the wonderful Don Givens, Mark Lazarus and others. We can but hope.

Re: Shooting

Idoubt if Washington has anything left untapped in his “skillset”. Same for Smith. There's still hope that Sylla may come good but I wouldn't bet on it.

Re: 3 x 6 losing matches

It's a massive game this Saturday. If we lose to Birmingham I think that serious questions will be asked of him. It sounds like Cotterill is under huge pressure too... It does have the feel of Rorkes Drift about it. Brum are in slightly better recent form than us and will feel, like us, that they d...

Re: Goodbye NHS?

I've read of quite a few cases of paying needlessly high prices for various requisites not least the huge increases in the price of drugs charged by the big pharma companies. I don't know how the funding issues are going to be addressed but I wouldn't be at all surprised if some sort of extra insura...

Re: Goodbye NHS?

It was a very short term initiative which had benefits at the time but ignored the long term financial implications. Where I live, we are virtually without primary healthcare which is frightening. We are lucky if we can get an appointment within three weeks. People are going to A&E because GPs are n...

Re: I'll give this to Ollie

And there's always Manning as well. When (if?) all the defenders are back the side starts to look a bit better apart from the accursed “strikers” if that's not a misnomer.

The problem is how Holloway uses them. Surely he'll play a wider formation soon ?
