Re: Match Thread: Birmingham City v Queens Park Rangers FC

Conor's missed shot today was utterly appalling. Something you'd expect from game of Fifa, not real life.
Even if it doesn't go in, it has to be remotely close to being on target when you're 1v1 with the keeper.

Re: Three managerial suggestions

Going back to the OP, Hurst and Powell would get my vote. To throw another few hats into the ring: Roberto Di Matteo? Will probably look for a higher division club, but knows the English league and has something to prove after Villa. Aitor Karanka - Did well at Boro, still out of work. Paul Clement ...

Re: How long does Holloway have?

As I've said before Holloway isn't untouchable - we've lost 5 out of 6 no tactics at all and lumping to Smith isn't tactical nous!!! I agree on the results, and not the first time that we've had a lengthy losing streak. But comment on Smith and tactics is harsh. We played some decent football yeste...

I'd like to see it in slow motion. The replay I saw it didn't look that bad.

Re: Mackie Red card

Just watched the highlights and it doesn't look like a red. Clumsy challenge yes, but both players were going for the ball.

Re: Match Thread: Preston North End v Queens Park Rangers FC

And never after a win oddly enough. Well, I'd be waiting an awfully long time, wouldn't I? It's just incredible that people on here prefer not winning for 17 away games to having a proper manager like Warnock leading a promotion charge. That level of supreme stupidity deserves the dream team of Fer...

Re: I wonder

I know we've slipped to 16th and recent performances have been underwhelming but I'm still pitched in the "I'd have been happy with this at the start of the season" camp. I'm in a similar boat, although i don't want that to cause complacency. We've got a very tough run in, so need to make sure poin...

Re: JET 'update'

Why is football so different from the 'real world' of employment. If I sat on my backside and didn't do any work, I would be subject to disciplinary proceedings and finally sacked. At the forum, it was said he (JET) is not where we want him to be. That means it's down to him, not the club. I think ...

Re: Ollie

Holloway's job is safe. Not least because the club is in no position to fork out for compensation and offer enough dough for a new manager to come in. There have been some high spots this season and we are eight points clear of the drop zone. Sure his tactics if you can call them that, are depressi...

Re: Onuoha misses Borough game

Encouraging news about Chief's recovery being 5 weeks ahead of schedule. If there is still anyone who thinks he is stealing a living from the club after hearing about how he played on with his hamstring detached from his femur for over 30 minutes then please keep your thoughts to yourself. After he...

Re: Aussies qualify for the World Cup finals...

For sure - a 24 hour flight round the globe and days of jet lag should be just the ticket for a tiptop performance! Having done that flight many times I agree completely. Takes about a week to get your sleep patterns back to normal. I'd imagine they fly first class, so get a flat bed. It pro...
