Re: A Little perspective

Well said T Block - good perspective on where we are. Forest away surely has to be a must see for our away support. Can you imagine how you'd feel if (when) we finally win there and you missed it

Winning your home matches makes away draws that more palatable. A win at Forest is over due - but just not losing is a good habit too.
Seen enough draws at Forest thanks, time for that WIN :D

Re: Our makeshift defence

All the shouts for Bidwell are perfectly valid. He stepped in to the back three at Sunderland, when Robinson got hurt, and was excellent, so I had no qualms about him playing there last night, and he did a superb job again. It's curious that we seem to have unearthed a pair of terrific centre backs ...

Re: 4 magic days

I agree, Danish Ranger, the Championship is so much better for supporters. The EPL has the big teams and stars, but football that fans really enjoy is played in the Championship. Last night was a tough old school battle which, while not being at all pretty, was immensely enjoyable to watch. We may ...

Re: Team for Blades

I think the OP has the defence about right in Lynch's absence. Bidwell filled in well at Sunderland in the back three when Robinson was unavailable.

Who is your left midfielder ?
Maybe Manning at left mid (for Cousins). Possibly give Wheeler a shot at right mid, with Pav as insurance?

Re: Lynch

I think Lynch recorded his 5th yellow card today in which case I believe he misses Tuesday's game. One of a number of pretty soft yellows for us contrasted with amazing leniency towards Wolves. Nothing awarded for the dual fouls on Mass and Freeman plus it was arguably inside the box! On top of tha...

Re: Pubs for Bolton?

Usually use the Beehive which is past the ground on the dual carriageway at the next roundabout. OK for away fans and has food and a couple of decent beers usually. About a ten minute walk back to the ground.

Re: Just got back

Good fight back by Rs IMO. Deserved at least the one point and had a flurry of chances before Freeman scored. The accident at J33 wasn’t too disruptive as traffic was merely diverted over the junction and straight back on the M1. Still a late night home 🙄

Re: Cardiff highlights

How is Chief more to blame than Caulker or Smithies for the goal? Smashing the ball straight back at the attacker instead of clearing sideways is definitely an error. You have a point Esox. It was right in front of us and while Ned underhit the pass, Smithies had just enough time to move the ball o...

Re: Oh no...

'Mare of first game?? What complete rubbish: he was on for 11 MINUTES. And his miss looked like a fine piece of goalkeeping to me. I wasn't at the game so only see the highlights so can only comment on the chance. Thought he done most things right, the keeper came out very well and he still managed...

Re: Stoke and Brighton watching Onuoha

Don't think he's been accused of being slow, but he does seem to have one brainfart per game. Luckily it hasn't cost us so far this season. Still think he's one of the best central defenders in the Championship, and not really surprised if he's being looked at by lower/middling Prem sides, who can't...
