Re: Pay at the BBC

Satch - I wasnt aware the BBC was costing the taxpayer anything. I though their funding was solely by the licence fee or perhaps selling the rights to programmes they own. Surely their period dramas would fetch a few quid overseas and box set sales etc? Wouldn’t that be marvellous but no, the BBC i...

Re: Pay at the BBC

3mins of adverts every 30mins isn't too much to put up with. If the BBC was privatised with the Govt putting every penny into the NHS I'm sure most people would be happy with that deal. 3mins of adverts every 30mins on commercial TV, 3mins of Nigel Farage every 30mins on the BBC. Re: Pay at the BBC

For entrepreneurs not glorified civil servants working for the state broadcaster. If they want to pay these wages it should be privatised, TV licence scrapped and commercial revenues sought. I'll happily pay the licence fee to get one outlet where I'm not bombarded with shitty ads all the time. The...

Re: Guardian crossword

The Times crossword is the best but it’s the rest if the Murdoch crap that I can’t stand. The Guardian used to be a good newspaper and the crossword is almost as good. Unfortunately, both papers are crap these days.
I’m a miserable bugger.

You must have been listening to someone who like making things up... parachute payments following relegation for QPR were/are £24m in 15/16, £19.3m in 16/17, then £9.6 m in both 17/18 and 18/19. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9873622/parachute-payments-overhauled-for-promoted-premier-...

Disagree. Passionate. After the finish he had every right to say it.

They're completely different and rather short on irony, whether it's ok is up for debate. To openly justify racial abuse and proudly associate yourself with it on the basis of being passionate about football deserves criticism, personally, under the circumstances, i find that requires a degree of i...
