Re: Match Thread: Birmingham City v Queens Park Rangers FC

Neither the supporters nor the team were in danger of losing their jobs had we lost the game though.

Re: Apparantly we are close to breaking FFP again

The fine that we are already threatened with relates to overspending in our promotion season of 2013-14.

Caulker was signed after that, so we wouldn't be being punished twice for the same offence. In any case, it would be a transfer embargo rather than a fine.

Re: Goodbye NHS?

Well yes and no.

PFI was a Conservative idea introduced under Major, enthusiastically embraced by Brown and Blair, and carried on by Cameron, Osborne and their successors since 2010.

A terrible idea, which as you say has turned out to be financially disastrous.

Re: Three managerial suggestions

"Constructive" ? You wrote off Grayson in 12 words.

He's done a good job wherever he's been, with the exception of Sunderland, who are a basketcase of a club.

As things stand, we'd be lucky to get him.

And yet his record at QPR remains better than Holloway's. Still, "passion", eh ?

Re: Gerry Francis... Leaving WBA

Irrespective of the rights and wrongs of Gerry Francis working for us or not, if Talksport helps you through the day you have my sympathies, you must be having a really bad day. I thought the garbage Sky comes up with on deadline day is bad enough until I listened to Talksport for a very short time...

Re: Gerry Francis... Leaving WBA

I believe the club have made him an offer, but he's asked for time to mullet over.

I'm here all week. Unlike most of our defenders.

My mother-in-law....

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round Draw..

Meaning of tedium: watching the BBC ( or ITV ) handling a Cup Draw 1) Find 2nd rate "presenter" with jokey / laddish attitude 2) find a naff club house and local jonnies to fill the bar 3) select a duff owner/manager to come up with obscure and or obvious comments about the draw 4) play clips of me...

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round Draw..

NO are only 4 points from safety so probably won't be fielding their strongest side, he said clutching hopefully for a straw of hope. This is pathetic, I grew up watching us regularly beating Liverpool at Loftus Road! Regularly ? I think you're dreaming Andy. We've only beaten them about half a doz...

Re: Gerry Francis... Leaving WBA

Muppets. It is obvious Ollie needs help. Its a no brainer just go and get him in any capacity you can.Full time ,part-time I do not care. Why do you think WBA wanted him to stay? It is because he knows more about football than anybody Rangers could ever hope for. Come on Les.... I presume "moral obl...

Re: Match Thread: Preston North End v Queens Park Rangers FC

And never after a win oddly enough. Well, I'd be waiting an awfully long time, wouldn't I? It's just incredible that people on here prefer not winning for 17 away games to having a proper manager like Warnock leading a promotion charge. That level of supreme stupidity deserves the dream team of Fer...

Re: Holloway interview after the game

Funny how those that leave early then feel guilty about it and come on here and complain. Really? I'd have kept quiet about it. Put another way, either your a QPR supporter and support the team, or your not. Simple. Which is worse : not turning up at all, as many clearly didn't, or turning u...

Re: Here is one to shock some

You heard it from him then ?

My understanding was there was one more year of parachute payments. Our squad is far too big and needs cutting anyway. If we are going to operate purely on turnover without any investment from the owners, then the Barnsley comparison sounds about right.

Re: Starting line up

Holloway has bad habits when picking a team. Ok experiment with alternative wingers, but when at home play the team outlined below and Rangers will stay up. Smithies Baptiste Robinson Bidwell Onohua considered when fit to replace one of the above. Scowen Freeman Luongo Washington Mackie Pawel Use Sm...
