Re: A poor last minute choice....

Can’t argue with much of that, but what has changed between the epic come back win last week & the customery drab cup exit this week that has got everyone calling for Ollies head? The result? It was Holloway’s 30th loss in 61 games. That’s an appalling record. Or could it be that those who were not...

Re: Never a penalty

He was poor. Very poor indeed. But I assume he's less poor now than he was. The cheque from Bristol now having cleared his account. That is libel ssh - but then again as someone said at the game "at least we know what happened to that £400 bottle of wine now!" Having watched the penalty over and ov...

Re: Someone has to ...

Seems determined to rush Hall back in. He was poor today apparently when he came on, but Scowen was little better and can count himself lucky not be replaced instead of Freeman. Bit worried about Scowen's form at present. Hope he's not yet another one who flatters to deceive. Pav seems to be gettin...

Re: Someone has to ...

Those that were callng for Sylla to be selected will see why the manager has little faith in him. He often seems to be going through the motions then moaning and carping at his teammates for not delivering pinpoint passes, a bit like Cisse used to do. I think Freeman told him to shut up a few times...

Re: pre-Birmingham

Its 11.21 as I write this and Birmingham is only about one hour travelling time away. I thought about going today and then thought "no don't be daft, we'll lose 0-2 and I'll come home feeling more depressed than I do now". Its a very sad state of affairs that I should feel like this, but having wat...

Re: Gerry Francis... Leaving WBA

Holloway undoubtedly needs help as all he has in his bag is shouting about motivation which can only work for so long. On his last stint here as Manager, Gerry looked totally lost before the end of his reign and was clueless how to turn it around. It looks to be a similar story as coach that he was ...

Re: Mackie Red card

Yes, that's the case with two yellows. You cannot appeal it. With regard to the outcome I personally think that we would have been unlikely to score with that front five even if Mackie had stayed on the pitch. If we were playing with Washington up front and Mackie, Chair and Wheeler as the three be...

Re: Deflecting a poor display............

An offside goal and a blatant penalty not given. Add Sylla's hitting the bar and things should have been very different. Get our defence back on the pitch and we'll be fine. ..a friend sitting in the X Block mentioned one goal being probably offside ...from my view in the Upper Loft I did not detec...

Re: Conor Washington

I still believe Sylla is a natural goal scorer. On Friday he turned and hit a ball (admittedly over the bar) but I don't think we have another player at the club who would have been able to react that quickly. He needs some game time to build his self belief and confidence. I firmly believe that mos...

Re: Stadium Capacity

And yet outside the premier league nearly every club run at a loss, which brings me back to my point that TV money & player sales is the only way to keep a club above water. We don't get gate receipts we don't have the fan base to fill a stadium & we don't get sponsorship of any note just some Mick...

Re: Lineup / prediction v Burton

According to the commentary we are lacking something today and Burton are easily snuffing out our attacks. We are currently playing 4-2-4 High balls to two small forwards hardly made life difficult for Burton but then I'm not a great manager so maybe I missed something spot on - sadly just more evi...
