Re: Weekend in Germany

If we get a good fee for Sylla then fair enough. Dont think we gave him a far chance but if hes not going to play then sell him. It's always best to sell your best striker with a hard season ahead. The fee would need to be over £10m if we don't score the goals we need to survive. That's three seaso...

Re: Maybe foreboding is a plus

We are not a premier league club full stop, there is not one aspect of our club that is premier league level or structurally prepared for it. Obviously we can do a Bournemouth and change that but as we cocked up our chance big time we are where we are. This is our level & let's not take it for gran...

Re: Maybe foreboding is a plus

it was 16 years in between relegation and promotion the first time, i have a feeling with the premiership money the way it is with clubs coming down, it might be even longer this time around, in fact i would say League 1 would be more likely. We are not a premier league club full stop, there is not...

Re: Mrs May

I'm nearly as old as Methuselah, 222. But nowhere near the DAVEf vintage. Most without workplace or private pensions will be stuffed in the future. It's good that employers have to offer them but employees still have the right to opt out. Where is DAVEf these days ? Teaching English grammar to kids...

Re: Mrs May

Give it a couple of years and the state pension facility will be stopped for current 18 year olds and their NIC will go soley into the NHS. They will be forced to pay 5-10% of all wages into a personal pension on top of employer contributions. Other benefits will be paid to those in retirement who ...

Re: Transfer rumours

We wont be buying anyone unless we get fees for our current crop of players. Even if Caulker goes that only reduces the salary deficit. I suspect the Bowler money merely reduced the overdraft. We might get a couple of signings if Smithies goes for £5m. If the club is in such a parlous financial sta...

Re: Mrs May

The Givt expects private firms with a pension black hole caused by underfunding or an increase in life expectancy to fill it with extra contributions from profits. But the state pension gets cut not topped up! Do as I say not as I do... Getting bad news out early into this Govt. They really are play...

Re: Fake Hoops hate us (even before a ball is kicked)

It doesn't make it right though ... £20 tops is fair for any Championship match. On what basis? Don't get me wrong, the figure sounds nice and i'd love it if we'd launched the scheme, but i also got why it isn't viable for us. Say a club brought 2k fans, that's 26k if i recall that was roughly the ...

Re: Mrs May

If you bought the state pension from a financial services company you'd be putting in a mis-selling claim as the collection date promised at inception keeps changing. And you'd win your complaint too with a compensation award. Many people today have work based pensions and like me consider it to be ...

Pension age gone up to 68 for those currently aged 39-47

Nicely sneaked in that one!! Surely this would normally get covered in a budget? Im sure the saving will cover the much needed recent investment in Northern Ireland.

At that age, goals scored and price he'll end up at a lower ranked Prem club.

Amazing that presenters earn so much more than actors. I'm really struggling to understand why, you need more talent to be an actor. All presenter do is read an autocue
