Re: General Election

In fact, last year Shelter published a report that said one in three families in England are only a monthly pay packet away from losing their homes I suppose a landlord could give notice if your renting. But as far as mortgages are concerned this is misleading and factually incorrect. There are set...

Linked with Ollie Watkins from Exeter. 21yo CM/CAM, League 2 POTY, got 15 goals and 7 assists last season.

Certainly sounds promising.
Not sure why he would choose us over Leeds and Villa.

Re: General Election

Are you saying they should stop trying? Where will that lead? Utter nonsense Damien. I went to a comprehsive school and my mother was a seamstress and my dad a postman. My career has been a sucess and my friends from those days have as well. Some are sucessful farmers, agricultural contracts, lawye...

Re: General Election

I just dont accept that DM. I know many gardeners, builders and shop fitters who have made comfortable lives for themselves. These guys were not academic but got where they are through hard work and determination. Anyone who settles for low paid work should look at learning new skills. Clearly many ...

Re: Transfer rumours

Why would we need Given when we have a perfectly good replacement for Smithies should he leave.

Re: General Election

The ones at the bottom of the social strata are educated/brainwashed(you choose) - to believe that they too can climb to the top of the pile - which is obviously a lie for the vast majority. The wealthy and powerful fear only one thing... solidarity amongst the 90% of the world not in their positio...

Re: Everton interested in Josh Bowler?

It's a gamble for any team to buy a teenage player. Remember Dean Parrett being bought by Spurs from us for £1m when he was just 16? He was released by Spurs some years ago and now plays for AFC Wimbledon. But if the buying club gets it right the kid might turn out like Raheem Sterling who at 16 wa...

Re: Everton interested in Josh Bowler?

Perhaps a deal could include him being loaned back to us for next season. But perhaps he's too raw to be considered a regular in which case cash + selling on + appearance bonus is better. Or, perhsps Josh is happy with his progress to date and rather than be stuck in the Everton reserves he'd be hap...

Re: General Election

I think Mr Corbyn will get through such an interview OK. However, to me he's a good campaigning backbencher but not a leader. Similarly, Mrs May will be exposed in the same way. It shows that politics is at a low ebb at the moment with few really capable peope of either hue. [/quote I think he will...

Re: General Election

According to my rag, the current poll ratings would result in a Tory win but with a majority of only two. IF Mrs May had waited, the boundary changes would have been in place making it even harder for Labour to win. However, the Tories will now concentrate on Mr Corbyn's achilles heel - security an...

Re: General Election

After the events of Manchester I think its time to consider whether snoopers charter needs enhancing. Also, whether resource has been adequate.

There were many on here who condemned the snoopers charter and I would like those individuals to reconfirm their views and state the reasons why.

Re: Transfer rumours

Lots of sources claiming a potential 1m bid for Aberdeen midfielder Kenny McLean Another ball playing midfielder when we need one who can put a foot in..... ''McLean's favoured position is as a central midfielder, but he can also play as a left midfielder. He has said that he favours playing in the...
