Re: Sean Goss

Let’s hope the game time means he comes back to us ready to slot straight back in the first team and can have a positive impact for us... “The striker made up for that moments later as a powerful Sean Goss shot thundered against the bar and Morelos showed great skill to half-volley first time into t...

Re: Derry

This. We’ve got to move away from the lazy ‘ex-player/right sort’ approach with its entirely predictable pisspoor result and move to a professional business-like model where we scale the globe for the best candidates for ANY role at the club. If the mighty Huddersfield can do this surely Fernandes c...

Re: Today

12,400 and that’s a figure that includes all season ticket holders being in attendance, so it could be less than that. I reckon about 11,000-ish which includes 5-600 Barnsley fans. Lots of season ticket holder seats empty around me in SAR. So 10.5k Rs turned up which is worrying but not entirely un...

Re: In, out, shake it all about....

Once things finally settle and we are either rid of those players earning more than we can afford to pay, or have re-signed them on reduced (realistic) wages, we can sort out our plan going forward. Just as spending silly money on Samba, and paying Joey Barton £70,000 a week was pure folly, spendin...

Re: In, out, shake it all about....

There is no chance there will be any major investment going forward. As i have said on this Board previously Hoos quite clearly said to a very close friend that we have to consider ourselves as the equivalent of Barnsley in terms of spending power. TF just cons a lot of people. The money has dried ...

Re: In, out, shake it all about....

That would be alright if it was in any way true. Instead, the homegrown players have been packed off - either on permanent deals or on loan - and we are playing those that have been brought in. Let’s not dress this up as something it is not - we are not investing in youth. We are just not investing...

Re: In, out, shake it all about....

With the much vaunted " no transfer " board put up outside Loftus Road this month it seems likely we're in for the long haul this season. No exciting introductions or exits, other than those already on the cards. FFP is taking it's toll on us all, and rightly so, never the less it's a sad reflectio...

Re: In, out, shake it all about....

Fair play to the club in a way for sticking to their principles. Les made it clear when he came in that the way forward was to nurture our own. Going with what we have got for the rest of the season is a big risk in my opinion. Personally I don't get all the non-stop tirade against Ollie and his fo...
