Re: Bristol City fan in peace with all the local info for Saturday week

Was every Rangers fan who lived in Bristol so traumatised that they had to move to a different continent ? I blame the Wurzels  I spent 7 years in Bristol and had a great time. It's a brilliant place to live. Well better than Acton (from whence I came). That said, and I lived and worked on fo...

Re: Three points

Two comments: When Smith comes on we are usually chasing the game and taking more chances, so it's not surprising we look more attacking. Re: Spack?

To be fair, if a phrase or word is used often enough it finds is way into the OED. Now that's right proper.

Nowadays, less and less of us use fewer and, like, everyone uses less, innit?

I'm off to jump around in my back garden and do the Dunning-Kruger.

Re: Bristol City fan in peace with all the local info for Saturday week

It's been years since I lived in Bristol but I still recall the pubs. The Pump House used to be reasonable, and the food at the cottage was ok.. Both with reasonable walking distance to Ashton Gate. A bit further away, On and around Hotwells there was a biker pub (probably 30+ min stroll to the grou...

Sounds like he has deserved a goal today. Credit where it's due. Can we hold on?
Can we get a third?

Re: The ashes

No doubt it was a desperately disappointing series... probably the dullest involving England I can remember. We may have won the odd session or two but rarely, if ever, were we competitive. No doubt the team underperformed, as they are not so far away from being top 2 or 3 in world. Maybe the one da...

So nice to see some positive comments in what essentially is the match thread. From the sound of things Sylla and Washington are having mares.

Re: TF Comment on Holloway... From His Book

Assuming; 500,000 QPR supporters globally 25 % interested and can read 10GBP Retail price (hybrid paperback/hardback/charity shop price) 10% gross royalties 10% increased interest in book because of uncle T's comments; then in the back pocket additional cash GBP 12.5k less tax. So with some creative...

And the context for this quote? Does he go on to rationalise the appointment or state a change of opinion or is that it?

I can only think of Doggies and Amsterdam.

But then it's not an atypical, reflective thought at this time of year.
