Re: Henry gone, Mackie staying longer

I also recall him getting booed.

We should have prioritised replacing him, but it doesn't mean he didn't have a role to play once retained.

Re: Henry gone, Mackie staying longer

I'm not convinced by this notion that Cousins is a holding midfield player. He looks far more like someone who want to carry the ball forward, similar to Luongo. What did other people think of Borysiuk? I thought there was potential there, but a lot people didn't seem fussed when we was moved on. Ha...

Re: Henry gone, Mackie staying longer

I imagine that Mackie adds a lot more on the training ground, dressing room and subs bench then we realise. So for me I'm delighted he is around for one more season. As for Henry, not everyone's favourite player but boy did we miss his defensive cover during those last 8 games. Maybe if the fans di...

Re: Transfer rumours

How many players have we loaned out/transfered in recent decades that have turned out better? My assumption is that he won't make it. Even at D2. Our youth team set us has been a mess and is only starting to look in better shape tbf. He was actually looking pretty good for us this season when he pl...

Re: Transfer rumours

I'd missed that about Shodipo, worrying to see him struggling with a chronic injury.

I was really impressed with what i saw. I thought it was a mistake to send him out on loan, i also thought he was treated unkindly by Holloway.

Re: Transfer rumours

Only made 13 appearances according to Wikipedia . Had 20 the previous season. He had two loan spells this season with Grimsby: 33 league appearances in total isn't bad going. It's also not that great for a youngster trying to establish a career in a higher league. Obviously I'm basing this entirely...

Re: Transfer rumours

Henry's off which we knew. Tbh i didn't think we should have kept him, but i'm sure he's have helped us avoid those runs of defeats in front of the back 4. Poor man management. Not sure what to make of Grego-Cox getting an extension, doesn't look to have a lot about him in the little i've seen. Hop...

Re: Transfer rumours

Nobody here got a SV Mattersburg supporting mate who can tell us why his contract isn't being renewed? This bit also made me sigh with despair, no wonder everyone wants him loan, we must continue to pay his wages! Peterborough want to sign 24 year old Michael Doughty ''“It could be a tough one to p...

Re: FFP Decision due this month

A salary cap would need to be Europe wide to work and large clubs would circumvent it in various ways. Also, lets not blame anyone other than ourselves for the mess we made of our spending.

Re: Warnock/Hughes/Redknapp signings

Well, the article was pre that. But yeah, i would think that fair. Although i still think he wasn't quite as good as people make out in that PL season. The article over rates Cesar too.

Re: Updates on new stadium, training ground and more

Why? Because I am critical of the sacred cow that is Les Ferdinand? Fantastic player for us but he's succeeded in taking us from the Premier League to one result away from League One in less than two-and-a-half years, made three appalling managerial appointments (arguably his most important task), ...

Re: Transfer rumours

I really hope that's just paper nonsense rather than Holloway thinking his masterplan would have been perfect had Matt Smith been an inch taller.

Re: Warnock/Hughes/Redknapp signings

Wow that is a depressing catalogue. Maybe that list should be put up on here the next time we are bemoaning the likes of Washington, Luongo, Mackie etc. Personally feel so much better supporting the latter even if they come up short quite often. Agreed, given what we are spending, i don't think we'...
