Re: Matchday Thread. Bolton Wanderers vs. QPR 21-10-17

65% possession and 14 goal attempts as the away side at the division's bottom club - a 1-1 draw is unarguably two points badly dropped. Apart from Sylla, we just don't have goal-scoring strikers, nor even goal-scoring midfielders. As I don't see us as being especially parsimonious at the back (thoug...

Sylla 1-1. :D :D :D

Stick or twist for the last 10 mins?

Twist twist and thrice twist say I - let's win it Rangers, and get that awayday monkey off our back! (Even - f*ck it - if we lose it trying!)

'63' Attempt missed. Conor Washington (Queens Park Rangers) right footed shot from outside the box is too high.'

From the BBC live text. Washington's ability to find any number of ways not to score goals is a true footballing phenomenon!

Re: Bolton at 3.00pm on Saturday

Predictions? My heart is saying we will - and should - rain on their propping-up-the bottom parade to the tune of a natty 0-2, but my more grizzled Rangers head says 2-2, and fears a 1-0.

I read it will be 13C, 39kph wind, and 84% precipitation. Does that make a difference? :)

Re: Who remembers David Needham

Just about! He was actually only with us for half a season or so, before moving to Forest at the pinnacle of their European success. Though Old Big 'Ead must have seen something in him, I seem to remember him as a gaffe-prone centre back who came in when our star was definitely on the wane - see his...

Paul Peschisolido and more recently Pascal Chimbonda
Paul is a good shout, but Chimbonda is a nightmare that will never be erased
Seems he felt similarly - about us and Neil.

Re: Austin back...?

GWL's 'story' on this seems to me speculation of Alice-in-Wonderland proportions - his 2nd coming is about as likely as the Nazarene rematerialising on a bike on Bloemfontein Road this Xmas. (Not helped by their risible 'report' that Wigan want Perch back on loan since he's 'warming the bench' - er,...

Utterly ridiculous, mischievous and devious (if true).

Re: Match Thread: Queens Park Rangers FC v Fulham

Gob-smacked to see the Sky stats - 25 goal attempts!!? I must've dozed off for an hour or more. But only 4 on target tells a truer story. Did their keeper save anything of note? Could easily have been 2-2 by the end, but we'd barely have deserved it. The question is: can this coaching staff coax any...

Re: Match Thread: Queens Park Rangers FC v Fulham

So near and so far! But if Ollie talks about 'fine margins' after the game, I'll go round his gaff and throttle him. I feel bloody short-changed. I'd like the coaching staff to come out and tell us why we only played with any real conviction for barely 10 minutes. This currently looks like a bottom ...
