Re: Pay at the BBC

I think it's a myth that the BBC is advert-free. There are thousands of adverts on the telly and radio - mostly for other BBC programmes. At one stage it was difficult to listed to Radio 2 for more than ten minutes without getting an advert for a concert by the aptly-named Conchita Wurst. I was a re...

Re: Luongo on post-Brizzle 'big meeting'

"Up until the Middlesbrough game and over the Christmas period we’d been playing well and had our identity, but we’ve sort of gone away from that in the last two games.

"We need to rediscover that against Barnsley."

Whilst you're looking, maybe you could find Barcelona's instead.

Olly needs someone with experience around him. Love Birch but he's no assistant manager. Give Gerry a role to the end of the season as advisor then let him go to Pulis wherever he rocks up next season.
Experience? Olly's been in management for over twenty ears now.

Re: Holloway interview after the game

I do agree, i've never seen it as a consumer relationship as some do. I support QPR, i can be f****d off with the football or the manager but i'm there to support the team regardless. Obviously sometimes it's harder to feel motivated (Redknapp was appalling) but i'll do my best to get behind them. ...

One bloke, in particular, is usually the first to capitulate to his bladder so grabs the beers. He now insists on buying two each. Which is far more Carlsberg than anyone wants in a lifetime.
Corrected.

Re: Holloway interview after the game

That was a shabby interview? Passion? That wasn't passion, it was a big sulk. "Wah! The first goal was clearly offside". It wasn't clear at all, unless you had the slow motion and the positioning was inch perfect. "Wah! we had a clear penalty turned down." It was a penalty, but in real time it looke...

Re: Holloway interview after the game

Disgraceful and dig at fans for leaving unacceptable. Did not like that tone at all Dickhead! Supporters' job is to support. Get over yourself. The tedious people who left early are twats, and should be ashamed. Personally, I'd lock 'em out of HQ. Yeah. If they're going to bunk off early they they ...

I think it's great. The royalists can have a good old knees-up; the republicans can revel in their intellectual superiority and go on a veritable condescensionfest. It's a win-win.

Re: The ashes

This is an intriguing Test. I stayed up all night watching the first day and, despite the slow pace, found it absorbing - proper old-school cricket. It was a shame we collapsed on the second day but it augers well that our three 'unknowns' scored the bulk of the runs. Cook (probably) and Root (certa...

Redinjun, an occasional of this parish, was good enough to arrange a trip to the Edgbaston Test this year. Look who else was in our party!

Only unfit to be a Minister though.....bit of touching up is fine as you can continue as an MP. Except you said "girls" which would make it a criminal matter, unless you were erroneously referring to "young women". I use the term girl for any bit of skirt up to 30. edrool Phew. Re: Don't you just know

I can understand the OP being nervous. We're all familiar with the QPR Benevolent Society surrendering three points to previously struggling sides and the QPR Lame Performance Sky syndrome. Frankly we need to lay these ghosts once and for all. You have articulated almost exactly how I feel. It was ...
