Re: Thermals and hot air

We can't do a Bournemouth. They broke FFP rules when they went up. I don't think that would be a very good idea. But now you just need to stand on the naughty step for 10 minutes, rather than be bankrupted, stripped naked and dragged through the streets of Old London Town while the FL throw rotten ...

Re: Sean Goss

Sounds like a top man, I could have certainly done with him at HT & FT the last two Sunday’s for a chat. Where do you ref? Within berks and bucks & middx areas so all over, I’m in the process of doing my five games I then go back for an exam Apr and should then Hopefully be qualified. Good luck wit...

Re: Sean Goss

It’s an interesting transition from footballer for 20yrs to referee for my first two games, my estimation & respect for refs has gone up 10 fold. My Dad was a local ref for 30 years and loved it. If he was ever harassed by players for his perceived bad decisions (Most players don't know the rules o...

Re: FFP

Football is geared to its favourites and the Premier League - we stepped out of line by trying to compete with the larger clubs. Cardiff flogged out £6 million on Gary Madine and cannot be carrying a reasonable wage bill in the championship, yet they go merrily.on their way? The bank rolling there ...

Re: Today

Sad to see the ground empty today Wasn’t empty. Wasn’t by any means full but at least half full if not 2/3rds full....! Yep, and if you consider the opposition (no disrespect intended), our recent form and the ghastly weather it's little surprise the crowd was down (I only thawed out about an hour ...

Re: Match Thread: Queens Park Rangers FC v Barnsley

The bit of Holloway's post match I have seen says that he switched Freeman from the hole in behind to a deeper role second half, Cousins was pushed into the role further forward as Freeman better coming on to the play. Interested to hear from those there if both players improved for the switch - ma...

Re: FFP

The owners have said they'd pay it - or so I'm led to believe. We as a club will never be able to. Still hoping we make the FL look like a the vindictive sods they are and get a lesser slap on the wrist. We broke the rules and deserve to be punished - but this fine is punitive, and as I've said bef...

Re: Transfer Rumour Thread: Jan 2018

My prediction - they'd offer us £1.5m rising to £2m based on appearances, and gives us some of their unwanted dross to get them off their books.

Re: Can anybody explain

I doubt no matter how many chances we create, our pathetic forwards would score enough, but as you say let's us at least try. Then we would see if it's the tactics or not. We wouldn't know. This division is full of average strikers who pick up a few goals when they get the chances, we're not creati...

Re: Three points

Outclassed all over the pitch today. I said to my brother when the teams were announced that the gulf in quality in the starting eleven and the subs was massive: their striker cost more than all our lot put together. Boro seem to be a confidence team so the first goal was always going to be massive...

Re: Anti depressants doctor

I thought they dominated the whole first half. Frighteningly so. Then we were the better side in the second. Very bad day at the office. Unforgivable first half performance. The fact that we showed we could compete in the second half demonstrates that Ollie got the tactics wrong first half. We’ll h...
