Re: Updates on new stadium, training ground and more

How many were in the Prem last season or will be next? 8 - Arsenal, Leicester, Manchester City, Southampton, Stoke, Swansea, WHU plus either Huddersfield or Reading who both have 'new stadiums'. In addition Spurs are of course mid-construction which will take the overall figure up to 33. How many c...

Re: Transfer rumours

It seems we can't afford/attract anyone that any of us have ever heard of. So we can't really pass judgement on any signings made [Obviously that won't stop some but hey ho]. Even if signings made are of people we know little or nothing of. And none of us want dead-beat journeymen who have been arou...

Re: Transfer rumours

Hasn't anybody mentioned to our people that Scottish football (at individual, club and international level) is at an embarrassing all-time low? Looking for players in Scotland is surely the equivalent of the All Blacks looking for Rugby players in Syria or Finland or UK Cycling looking for riders in...

Re: Everton interested in Josh Bowler?

Dragging it out a bit longer (in public) will pull in other clubs who likely don't even have any idea who Bowler is --- but that's the way football works now --- and possibly add a decent bit more onto any final sale price.

Re: Toodles to Morrisson

£2m is ridiculous: if he'd been available on a free then I would've signed him. Even after the loan that just happened? Yes I would too. On a free and reasonable wages. He's 24, got the talent, but needs to sort himself out. But does he? He might think he wants to (but there's no real evidence of t...

Re: Premier League Table

Stoke finished 13th this season on 44 points. O.K. 10 points clear of relegation but the bottom 3 were fairly abject this season. TBH I don't think relegation is ever "remotely out of the equation" for the teams in the bottom half of the table. It's only a poor run of games away, especially if that...

Re: General Election

As Shadow Home Secretary is Diane Abbott allowed to comment on security issues in light of recent events, or is her silence due to the suspension of electioneering? I haven't heard anything from her, has she made comment or do Labour have a gagging order on her? All politicians of all parties have ...

Re: Jordan Pickford

With Nigel Spackman to go the other way in a swap deal. http://www.qprdot.org/phpbb3mb/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=79907&start=45 How lazy of me. But as you say Esox, the fact remains Pickford is an inexperienced keeper, albeit one with potential (maybe, no more or less than Smithies). Pickford has had Pr...

Re: General Election

Another example of bias. The media has yet to question the mysterious "means testing" of the Winter Fuel Allowance. The media should be saying "you are going to limit this payment to those on pension credit, because means testing 12m pensioners would be too unwieldy and expensive, is that not true ...

Re: Jordan Pickford

Moyes and Sunderland think they are still a Prem club.

If Pickford hasn't moved hysterical hysterical before January I'd have doubts that any fee (for a. by then, Championship Keeper) would be even be half that.
