Re: Gino Padula

I got one of those Cult Zeros shirts with "Gino Loves You" written under his little face.

I think she's thrown it out. Otherwise I'd lend it to one of you.

Re: Wzsolek...

I really try not to be a moaner but... OMG what is he doing in the squad let alone the first team? He walks around with a look of pain on his face, if he is in pain go and recover if he isn't - sort out your body language. Horrible first touch, gives possession away with generous regularity, rarely...

Re: How come....

But him O’Neil & Austin won us the playoffs, there three performances over three games got us up. But yeah it is a mystery just like a long list as to what happens to players when they sign the dotted line, god only knows why so many flatter to deceive. You can add Richard Dunne to that list. He wa...

Re: How much have we spent this window

Sounds reasonable to me. Let's clear the dross and look towards the summer and a good few Bosman deals along lines of Scowen and Baptiste who actually improve the squad.

Re: Can anybody explain

In this day and age, everybody is expected to do 2 jobs.

Why should Bidwell or Furlong be different?

I had wondered how Mr Spackman was making a living these days.

Y'know. Fair play to the lad.

Spack?

Nigel Spackman providing co-commentary on Bundesliga tonight over on BT Sport.

"If you don't score goals, you won't win matches and you won't be successful."

Great to have you with us Nigel.

Twitter rumours saying we're in for Tom Naylor from Burton.
He's a 26yo midfielder/defender (CB or RB) so maybe playing a holding role?
That’ll get the juices flowing amongst fans.
Neither did Scowen.

The season begins in January.
I seem to remember us upsetting Sir Alex on his birthday one year.

Re: Van Dijk - £70,000,000

Anyway, football will eat itself. Just like the fall of many cultures from history. Some other sport or entertainment will fill the gap. Kids of the future will care not for Anfield and Wembley. Interesting thought and could well become very true although I personally think that football will re-in...

Re: Van Dijk - £70,000,000

If Yannick Bolasie could go to Everton for £30m then Van Dijk is probably worth it. However, I'm sure they were talking £60m in summer when Saints wouldn't sell? Problem is, when an Arsenal or Man City begin to show interest too, Liverpool are caught in an arms race and have to invest quickly. Anywa...

Re: Caulker's gone

As much as we all have 20/20 hindsight now, how many can honestly say they weren't pleased when we signed him? I thought him playing alongside Ferdinand would have been good for his development. All in all, looked like a statement of intent and a good signing of a young, English defender who had don...

Re: Gary Monk Sacked...

Boro fans are another lot with a misplaced sense of entitlement (though of course I'm not one to generalise). With the expensively assembled strike force they have, there was a feeling on Teesside that Monk should be doing better. Not sure about the Swansea thing, I think that he needs a lower profi...
