Twitter rumours saying we're in for Tom Naylor from Burton.
He's a 26yo midfielder/defender (CB or RB) so maybe playing a holding role?
That’ll get the juices flowing amongst fans.
Neither did Scowen.

The season begins in January.
I seem to remember us upsetting Sir Alex on his birthday one year.

Re: Van Dijk - £70,000,000

Anyway, football will eat itself. Just like the fall of many cultures from history. Some other sport or entertainment will fill the gap. Kids of the future will care not for Anfield and Wembley. Interesting thought and could well become very true although I personally think that football will re-in...

Re: Van Dijk - £70,000,000

If Yannick Bolasie could go to Everton for £30m then Van Dijk is probably worth it. However, I'm sure they were talking £60m in summer when Saints wouldn't sell? Problem is, when an Arsenal or Man City begin to show interest too, Liverpool are caught in an arms race and have to invest quickly. Anywa...

Re: Caulker's gone

As much as we all have 20/20 hindsight now, how many can honestly say they weren't pleased when we signed him? I thought him playing alongside Ferdinand would have been good for his development. All in all, looked like a statement of intent and a good signing of a young, English defender who had don...

Re: Gary Monk Sacked...

Boro fans are another lot with a misplaced sense of entitlement (though of course I'm not one to generalise). With the expensively assembled strike force they have, there was a feeling on Teesside that Monk should be doing better. Not sure about the Swansea thing, I think that he needs a lower profi...

Re: Barnsley Consortium Takeover

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42414884 Have they not seen A Four Year Plan? It'll all end in tears... Depends on the plan. Take the Wolves model for example, based on contacts of a super agent which looks to be working but may be a short term plan? Barnsley trying to do the Moneyball thing in...

Well if you want to be pedantic and it appears you do, his name isn't Pawel, it's Paweł. Generally, in Polish the 'w' is pronounced as a 'v' would be in English and the 'ł' is closer to an English 'w'.
Pavoo?

Re: Three managerial suggestions

Some sense at last. Not sure Pep could do better if you took 5 of his defenders away and told him his star central defender would be the left back who'd been injured for 2 years. It's not like the past where there weren't any transfer windows. We either have to tough it out or just keep changing it ...
