Re: Weekend in Germany

I think Zenith has this right. JET is good but not good enough to warrant excusing whatever the bad behaviour is. That he's been cold shouldered by so many clubs now is the defining story.

Re: Weekend in Germany

I'd have almost anyone other than Perch at RB. It was no surprise that he gave away the pen.

Very little to get excited about. Borysuik looked our best player to me.

Re: Weekend in Germany

In terms of passing, movement and patterns of play, FC Union Berlin are streets ahead of us. We've tried to play out from the back but can't so end up resorting to a long ball. Depressing.

Re: Transfer rumours

I hope he doesn't end up as one of those players whose ability to play a number of roles doesn't do him any favours. I have a feeling this is what has happened to Luongo so far. Obvious talent but never settled into one consistent midfield role. You could well be right. And it may be significant fo...

Re: Transfer rumours

Manning may well develop as a DCM. Manning started off as an out-and-out striker in his under-age career. Do you think he has a strong enough defensive element to his game? I would have thought he's stronger as creative player / deal-ball situations. I've haven't seen him play in the flesh - only t...

Re: Transfer rumours

And yet, it could be argued most of our CMs are suited to being in the 2 in a 4231 - Scowen, Cousins, Goss, and Borysiuk if he stays. Manning may well develop as a DCM. Luongo and Freeman have played reasonably well in there too, though I think they're better utilised further forward or as the box t...

You're right John. We won't

They still deserve a thrashing for it though.

Re: Transfer rumours

So far all the pre-season games have been 4231, so it would appear that one up top is what it's going to be.

Hoos Lee Hughes?
Actually, Lee Hughes was the former WBA footballer jailed for killing someone in a car accident and fleeing the scene. Typical Daily Fail.

Seems a bit strange to hire a 'high profile' scout with a month left in the window.

Surely this would've been better at the end of the season?
I think this appointment has been made with a longer term in view than this season. I don't think we'll see much activity in this window now.

Re: Welcome Back Mel Johnson

Yes indeed, welcome back Mel.

Another indication the board wants the club run in a different way now.

Re: Weekend in Germany

I like Dave Mc. He's better informed on all things QPR than most other journos. But now and again he likes chucking in a little click bait.
